We have teamed up with Oliver Heath Design to bring you a forest experience like no other. With interiors incorporating Biophilic Design principles (enhancing links to nature) the Unfurl Collection brings more than a Forest Feeling. It’s a connection. Proven by science, naturally.

About the collaboration

Oliver Heath, the founder of Oliver Heath Design and leader in Biophilic Design shared his thoughts with us on bringing the philosophic design theory to the forest:

“It’s well known that spending time immersed in nature can have a profoundly restorative effect on our mood and wellbeing. Biophilic Design is the approach to mirroring those benefits in and around buildings – helping us to reduce stress, aid recuperation and to enhance our connection to that space and the people in it.

About the collection

What better way to relax, recuperate and recreate shared experiences with nature than in a cabin in the middle of the forest. When choosing to work with us on this exciting new cabin design in Glentress Forest, Oliver and his team made sure to incorporate a variety of sensory experiences that directly reflect our new forest location.

“We may not realise it, but it’s often the rich visual experiences we find when immersed in nature that makes them such rewarding experiences – acting as a stark contrast to our relatively structured, geometric urban environments.

“Biophilic Design helps to diffuse this difference in the visual complexity of spaces by introducing interior elements based on nature; inviting in organic forms, patterns, colours and textures; ensuring that our nature experiences don’t end at the front door.

“In our designs for the Forest Holiday cabins we sought to do just that – creating a delicate balance between exterior and interior environments – to shape a holiday experience that will leave you feeling more refreshed than ever.”
