Glentress and the other Tweed Valley forests are managed by Forestry and Land Scotland, maintained for us all to experience through each season. The largest of the Tweed Valley forests, there are lots of walking and bike trails in Glentress, making it the ultimate base for exploring the surrounding forests and villages that follow the twists and turns of the River Tweed.
If you’re looking to explore right from your cabin doorstep, start off from the shared, Multiuser Trail. This wide path around Glentress is accessible to all, including wheelchair users, and connects to the existing walking trail network, mountain bike routes and our Forest Retreat. From here, you can join one of the five main walking trails around the forest.
