Yorkshire has been recognised for having two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty covering over 800 sq. kilometres! The Howardian Hills stretch from Helmsley and Cotswold to the River Derwent and Kirkham Priory, scattered with historic houses, villages and beautiful landforms throughout. Nidderdale is an area of spectacular moorland and vast green meadows with the River Nidd flowing through it.

For somewhere a little bigger, the city of York is reachable in just under an hour and is highly recommended if you're looking for variety and plenty of attractions. Yorkshire is also home to York Minster, the largest Gothic Cathedral in Northern Europe; it took an astounding 252 years to build and features 128 stained glass windows dating back to the 12th century!

Pickering, a picturesque market town is just 7-miles away from our Yorkshire locations and has a number of shops and restaurants to try. Whilst in Pickering, why not board a train on the North York Moors Railway, the longest steam railway in the UK?

Head for Whitby and visit the splendid ruins of Whitby Abbey or climb the famous 199 steps to the church and headland. For a day at the seaside, Scarborough is just 24 miles away. Here you will find a big, sandy beach at the heart of this traditional coastal town.

There are lots of activities in Yorkshire suitable for the whole family. For those interested in history and learning, you will find six national museums in and around Yorkshire. If a tree-top adventure is more your thing, Go Ape can be found in Dalby Forest - just 12 miles away from Cropton and Keldy.
