Our General Manager Craig looks after everything at Blackwood Forest and can be found helping across all departments on location day to day. In his spare time, he is likely to be walking through the woods catching the sunset with his dog Ruby. His favourite cabin is number 51 as it sits on the edge of the forest and boasts stunning views at any time of day. Craig recommends booking onto a Forest Ranger activity during your stay, as they are full of fascinating information and history of the forest.
What is the rarest wildlife sighting at your location?
“For me it would be the Muntjac deer, I had never seen one before!”
Our Forest Ranger Alison leads and guides various forest activities for all our guests, her most favourite being the Forest Discovery. The best thing about working at Forest Holidays for her is the beautiful Beech tree woodland which surrounds the location.
What makes Forest Holidays that bit different to your average holiday cottage?
“Being immersed in the beautiful woodland is the best feeling ever and with the added bonus of a hot tub, it really creates a magical forest experience. I think the ethos of slowing down and engaging in nature is at the essence of a Forest Holiday.”
