The Kings Head Hotel, Kirkbymoorside
An attractive 17th century coaching inn with open fires, cask ales and great selection of malt whiskies. Meals are served in the lounge, bar and garden room and the menu is full of well-executed pub favourites. A great shout for a couples lunch or dinner after visiting the nearby Ryedale Folk Museum.

The Blacksmiths Arms, Lastingham
A picture-perfect North York Moors pub in an idyllic location, with a reputation for great food. Enjoy excellent, chef-prepared meals using local ingredients and served in 'proper Yorkshire portions'. The Moors Inn, Appleton-Le-Moors
Another historic North York Moors pub, The Moors Inn dates to the 17th century. The traditional bar area is made cosy by an open fire, a separate dining room serves delicious meals, and there's a lovely garden too. The Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge
The Lion Inn is situated on the highest point of the North York Moors National Park, where the views over the Rosedale and Farndale valleys are breath-taking. The walks nearby are excellent and the inn makes a great focal point for a break and something to eat and drink. The menu caters for children and vegetarians and it also is a very dog friendly North York Moors pub.

The New Inn, The Square, Thornton-Le-Dale
This Georgian coaching house dating back to 1720s is situated on a crossroads in the centre of the picturesque village of Thornton Dale. A year-round venue, with a roaring log fire for in the winter and a courtyard garden for the summer, it's a family-friendly, dog-friendly North York Moors pub. Book a table for 'Thank fish it's Friday' or enjoy the daily Steak Special. The New Inn is situated near Go Ape so it's great for a meal after your adventurous day out.

Another New Inn, this one's our local at Cropton and Keldy. It's a traditional, relaxed, family run pub and home of The Great Yorkshire Brewery and Cropton Brewery. Serving pub meals alongside their excellent ales, it is a great spot to enjoy Yorkshire hospitality. You can also do a brewery tour, which includes free beer samples!
