Gwydir Mawr and Bach Mountain Bike Trail

Around 36 minutes away from Beddgelert lies the seriously good Gwydir Mawr and Bach. This 25km trail is what’s known as ‘proper mountain biking’ with its mix of forest roads and mountain views. Ranging from rocky to flowy, this is a fantastic route to test your mountain biking skills. 

The Clwydian Range Mountain Bike Trail

Made up of swooping descents and stunning scenery, The Clwydian Range is well worth the 1 hour and 30 minute drive from Beddgelert. This trail forms part of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which means it’s definitely one for nature enthusiasts. 

Hiraethog and Llyn Brenig Mountain Bike Trail

Craving solitude? This trail spans dark forests and deserted moors making it ideal for a secluded day out or family adventure - just one hour away from your cabin at Beddgelert. 

Comprising a range of different options, you can tailor your trip to Hiraethog by choosing from gentle child-friendly routes or more technical trails. There’s plenty of handy facilities and picnic spots too. 

Coed Llandegla Mountain Bike Trail 

Thrillingly fast and exceptionally muddy this atmospheric forest is suitable for all abilities. Home to a series of maintained trails of varied terrain including: Llandegla Black, Llandegla Blue, Llandegla Green and Llandegla Red. With convenient shops, cafes and visitor centre Llandegla Forest is one of North Wales’ most popular mountain biking spots. Just a 1 hour 30 minute drive from Beddgelert. 

The North Wales Coast Path Mountain Bike Trail 

Whether you want to challenge yourself or arrange a fun trip with a group, this trail is a fantastic way to get your cycling fix and stop off at a few picturesque seaside resorts.

Venture all the way to Holyhead or simply tick a few sights off your bucket list. The North Wales Coast Path is one of the most effective ways to soak up views of both the mountains and the ocean, all day long.
