3. The New Inn Shortstanding near Coleford
   
   For pubs near Coleford, The New Inn is a well-kept and welcoming pub just a 1km walk from our cabins at Forest of Dean. Offering a range of beers, wines and spirits as well as a reasonably priced menu, and there is often live music too. Children are welcome and there is a beer garden for those sunny days. 7. The Ostrich Inn at Newland, Coleford
   
   For pubs in Coleford, The Ostrich is another option, recommended by the Good Pub Guide. The Ostrich is situated in the pretty village of Newland. A ‘proper pub’ it has the full package, including exposed beams, a fire in the grate and range of well-kept beers.
