We’re excited to reveal our next Forest Holidays location is Glentress Forest in the Scottish Borders. We’re creating 56 environmentally-sensitive cabins at Glentress Forest, near Peebles, ready for winter 2024.
Our brand-new location will form part of Forestry and Land Scotland's award-winning Glentress Masterplan, which sets out a vision for Glentress Forest to be a well-integrated, multi-user destination that offers a world-class visitor experience for all, making the Tweed Valley a top visitor destination.
We estimate that our new location will increase the number of visitors to the Borders by 20,000 per year, generating over £2m additional annual expenditure in the local area and creating 50 FTE jobs during the works and 25.5 FTE jobs once the location opens.
We make sure that our holidays are good for people and the planet. Our forest-centred approach to development, design and integration uses extremely low impact and ecologically sensitive methods and techniques to help the cabins blend into the forest, retaining and enhancing the woodland, its wildlife and their habitats.
Opening in winter 2024, we're incredibly excited to show our guests Glentress Forest and the wider Tweed Valley Forest Park – a true Scottish gem.
